Post No. 035: For My Students, Part 3 — Angry Walls

Angry Walls

How can I cross
the
angry walls
of
your garden
to
hold you

until it rains?

Carve me a portal
so
I can stream in
or
I shall love
you
through your

happened cracks.

My Poetic Notes:

The reason that I wrote this poem can be summed up with the following statement: I wrote this poem when I worked with troubled youth, which helped me to realize that I was really trying to heal myself by trying to heal the troubled youth! So, that is why I decided to go into therapy, since I needed to work through some major issues stemming from my truly dysfunctional childhood.

And this poem was also published on my "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer" blog (please see the hyperlink below for the blog), since I feel that the message in this poem applies to the message that I am trying to convey through "Paul Whiting — A Creative Writer."

This poem was written in Salt Lake City, Utah.
